This window is where you manage your media.
In Modul8 you can import all kind of media: videos in many different formats, flash animation, images, etc.
To import a media you simply drag and drop your file.
You can have up to 80 medias at the same time.
Because Modul8 is a compositing application, you can work with very simple video loops that can be mixed together to achieve much more advanced animation.
Modul8 supports most of the video codecs. However compressing your movie with codecs adapted to real-time mixing (like the Photo-Jpeg codec) can improve a lot the performances of Modul8.
The size of the media is not limited. You can import movie of any size and they will be rendered at full resolution allowing you to reach very high quality animation.
You can also import movies with full per pixel transparency as long as your codec supports it.
Modul8 supports also special internal media: like text or video capture.
Video capture allows you to work with a live stream just like with any other medias. You can mix it, apply effect, etc.
When you click on a media, it is automatically inserted in the composition and attached to the active layer.
It allows you to trigger media very quickly and play them just like with a music instrument.
